These terms govern your use of the privify.io website and the free tools we host on it. By using the site, you agree to them.
These website terms do not govern our products. FORGE deployments are governed by the license and services agreement executed between Privify and the customer. SHIELD has not launched. For a copy of current product terms, contact us.
01Who we are
This website is operated by Privify, Inc. ("Privify", "we", "us"). Throughout these terms, "the site" means privify.io and its subpages, including the free tools hosted there.
02Using the site
You may read, share and link to anything published here. You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or probe, scan or test their security without written permission — see our security page for how to report issues responsibly.
- Interfere with the site's operation or availability for others.
- Scrape or reproduce our content at scale for a competing commercial product.
03Free tools
Tools such as Photo Scrubber are provided free and as-is, with no warranty of any kind. They process files locally in your browser. While we've built them carefully, we can't guarantee they will remove every trace of metadata from every file format, and you should not rely on them as your sole safeguard where the stakes are high. Verify the output before publishing anything sensitive.

04Our content
The site's content, design, logos, product names (including FORGE and SHIELD) and software are owned by Privify or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing here grants you a license to our trademarks or software beyond ordinary use of the site.
Open-source components we distribute are covered by their own licenses, which take precedence over this section for those components.
05Forward-looking statements
The site describes products under active development. Roadmap items, capabilities described as planned, and early-access features may change or may not ship. Nothing on this site is a contractual commitment to deliver any particular feature, and you should not make purchasing decisions on that basis. Where a capability is limited to particular platforms, we say so.
06Third-party links
We link to third-party sites and load some assets from third-party providers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
07Disclaimer and liability
The site and free tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Privify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or free tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
08Changes
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above will change when we do, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
